|

I have an open-station '69 4020 gas with 148 loader, and the loader is currently plumbed into the tractor SCV's. I found a Deere three-function joystick and valve so now I can free up the SCVs and hopefully get improved performance from the loader. Mounting the joystick on the fender is not a problem; my question is where is the best place to mount the valve box (#20 below) on this tractor?
Also, Tim S. or anyone else that has done this on a side-console 20 series- when tapping into the hydraulic pressure line under the platform, is there a fitting you can replace with a tee? If not, how do you tap into the pressure line? I'd remove the platform and take a peek with my own eyes, but I'm not planning on starting this project until hay feeding season is over with up here in WI.

I do like the idea of the power beyond kit but I'm trying to avoid having to hack into the rockshaft cover to make room for the PB block. |

I had same setup on 3020 and mounted box on RH side
frame rail. Worked really well with joystick control. |

By the way, I agree that power beyond block behind scv is
the best setup. Look into it before you decide. |

Thanks for the info, JD Jim. I haven't ruled out the power beyond block yet, just weighing my options. |

You could put a 3rd outlet tower on it and at the top put a power beyond block with a scv block off plate. i can get part number tomarrow. That is what i am going to do with my 1970 4020 gas with 148 loader to avoid hacking up the side tins |

I put a Tee up under the hood and drop a hose down to the valve for the pressure supply and drill and tap the filter bowl for the return,,a power beyond block will work under the left SCV for your pressure supply but they are not cheap.... |
