I work with a museum in the San Francisco Bay Area (CA) and was wondering where you all might suggest I look for some old time implements to go with our small collection of tractors. We have many that were donated to us over the years, but we have decided it would be nice to have some implements to pull through the parades we are in. Any suggestions on where to look for belt powered bailers, binders, corn pickers, corn shellers etc? We are limited on distance we can go, what we can afford and size. But any suggestions would be great. Brand isn't important as long as it is early (pre 50). Thanks for the suggestions. |

I used to know a guy who just got in his truck and drove around farm country in the midwest and just looked in the woods around farm places to find old machinery.
I still see some on farms around Casa Grande,AZ, but there isn't much left in most areas. Some may still be found in salvage yards that haven;t been sold for scrap. |
