went to change hyd.filters today pulled plug usualy 2an 1/2 gal.oil but at 5 put plug back.why all the oil?ck. reg no surprises.usualy I pull plug an come back hrs. later after filters drain wow wouldn't that be great. |

I'm not 100% sure this is correct, but I think in the manifold that collects the filtered oil on the LH side of trans, there is a by-pass valve in it. If the gasket under it or the valve itself has a small leak it would let the trans oil slowly drain out the filter cavity. |

Rod, a thought the very same thing but every thing looks correct it almost seems like it is coming back through the filter,after draining the filter housing I replaced plug in 5 minutes it had a 1/2gal. back in it.customer says it has not affected the trans working properly |
