Looked at a 1470tk with 3pt and a cab, motor is loose but has sat five years without running, sure it would run and wouldn't take much, good tread on the tires, not a case guy what are they worth?

Paid 3k for mine in similar condition but had a cummins conversion. I'm in Iowa. 2500 would have been better but there is a new turbo on the motor so he wouldn't go lower.

1470's are one of the most fuel efficent tractors ever made and if they are given proper service (which is not hard) will run many thousands of hrs trouble free, I know guys in MT that upuntil just a few years ago still used them as their primary tillage tractors the man I am referring to had three of them all with over 16000 hrs on each, I think they had overhauled the engines just once and put in two clutches and several wheel seals and maybe a few u-joints, I have two 1470's myself that I use on my farm we also sold 5 or so new back in the day in my opinion Great tracors, they do not have a isolated cab like the next gen Case 4whd but they had the std 8spd tranny with no power shift and are just simple and durable, for non running ones I have seen at auction they start at 1500.00 for a bareback tractor with only hyd, 3pt adds 500.00 or so pto will comand even more money if some one is there wanting it hope this helps give you a better idea, one thing here in our dry climate that does not bother but could be in your area is the all metal fuel tank depending on how it was cared for good luck cnt

I know an old lady in Iowa that has a 1200 with a 504 but she never got back to me on a selling price. My wife thinks I'm crazy but I try to save what my pocket book can afford. Love those 4wd. I also have a 4490 and 4690. I've got a couple 1200's spotted but need to talk to owners to see if they would sell. They haven't been used in YEARS. Snatch up that 1470 for that price. Have to meet up some time.

Alright I'm not a case guy but I've kinda had a soft spot driving by its for the last few years, finally stopped and asked her this last weekend and she was glad I stopped, my brother works at the case dealer and gets parts at cost so, its kinda a win win situation there, he wants to go 50/50 since I told him and I said I would, the old lady said its not going anywhere if we want it so hopefully this weekend, but if we get a lot of snow like in the forecast it will probebly be two weeks, I'll post pictures as soon as I get it, needs a paint job, but its pretty strait, says 6700 hours.

Alright, my dad used to have a 4690 he said it was a good tractor. Now the only case we have is a 2011 435 and its really nice, but I kinda like the older tractors, you don't see them out as much in the field and there funnier to run I think.
