Super C Lights

I have had my lights on my Super C disassembled to clean and paint them. I have ordered new rubber gaskets to go back on them. The original rubber gaskets fell out in pieces when I took them apart. My dilemma is I don't know how the gaskets were installed. I think the gasket goes along the edge of the housing, but how does the light reflector go in relation to the gasket - under the gasket or on top of it? I would have thought that the reflector went on first, then the gasket, then the lens. Does this sound right? Thanks for your ideas.

If I remember right the gasket can't attach to the edge if you put the lens on first. At any rate you may find the gaskets hard to install as they aren't exact replacements for the IH gaskets. Eventually they will go on. I think I needed another hand.

The gasket goes on the edge of the lens, then you place the
gasket and lens down on top of the reflector. The reflector
needs to be in place first, firmly planted on top of the brass
grounding strip or the light will not work well. After you get it
all in place, put the outer ring on and tighten it down. It can be
a little fussy, but it works well. I have done many of them this
way.

Wrong the lens goes on after the rubber gasket. You cannot install the lens first then the gasket. Have you ever installed a gasket as we would like to know how you got it all together.

I never thought of doing it that way, might work for me. I haven't done that many lights, always had trouble getting it together.

You are correct the reflector goes first then the gasket goes in the groove holding the reflector then the lens then the holding ring. Now we are talking about or9ginal lites with the gasket that has an edge for fitting in the grouve around the reflector with the smooth side facing the lens.
