Anyone familure with the ensign lp carb? I was wondering how to check the economizer, if it is needed, and where to get a working one if mine is bad? thanks

There is a single diaphragm inside. Remove, gently clean/wipe and then hold up to a light and check for holes/tears. They are not available as replacement items. Have to hit salvage yards and start looking. This is the main item that fails and the reason most people have to change entire system over to Impco. Good luck.

Impco Beam series Vaporizers will work with Ensign Carbs. I have a M5 with the Beam 60 on it. May be a little small but that is the way it came to me. The next choice is the Beam 120 I think.

Well checked my 2 economizers today and I have one that works, took the other one apart and it was full of rust. Not sure how long it will last but will give it a try.

As with regulator Welters repaired my econimizer.
My understanding is he manufactors what is needed.
They are very reasonable

Diaphrams are available for the "R" vaporizer. Close to $100 by the time you pay shipping. E-mail me if you need more info.
