Just got some stuff I ordered in from Maibach and one of the parts is a pilot bearing for a 77/88. After unboxing it I noticed it said made in china and the brand appears to be HBC. Anybody ever use one of these HBC brand bearings and if so are they any count or not? Also, if anybody has some leads on some U.S.A made pilot bearings do share. |

I looked at the HBC site. I wouldn't worry about the quality of the bearings since they are inspected once they reach the states, but I hate the idea that the company outsources the production. I'll paraphrase Ross Perot about free trade "that giant sucking sound is jobs leaving the country". |

I don't think they inspect them too hard. Most of the aftermarket will sell you a sediment bowl for a Super 88 that rubs on the bell housing after it is installed. It doesn't bother the sellers a bit. |
