Hi Mike, is this a tractor as I used to sell IH tractors but not heard of this one. IH built the 784 and 785 tractors at Doncaster in the late 70s and early 80s. I hope you had a good trip up to our part of the UK earlier this month. I am only just round the corner from AD eng and I have a totally original 1945 Farmall H under the shed with a 1942 W6 and a restored 1940 Farmall BN tractors. MJ

If it is a tractor, it is probably a 784, 785, or 786 with the 4/5/6 decal rubbed off.

There would be a shadow of the third digit still visible if you take a closer look, and the tractor's actual model would still be readable on the serial plate.

Hi Yes I thought that it might be a figure rubbed off etc but it doesn't look to be so. Was there a 'jcb' type plant machine built under that spec???? Its got me puzzled?? Mike
