New to Forum. I just bought a Case 741, Dual Range and would like to identify the year that it was produced- Serial number is- 8232441.
Can anyone tell the year it was made? or where I should look to find out?

I plan on doing a modest restoration on this 741.
Tin is good, engine tight (no smoke), all or most decals and emblems are still on it. Clutch and brakes seem fine, however, I wasn't able to run it with a load on motor. I bought and paid for it yesterday and will have it hauled home within the next two weeks. Once here I will be able to go through it more thoroughly to see what needs to be addressed.
One thing I do know is the 3-point hitch arms do not raise. Last owner used this to pull a drawbar towed 8' brush hog and removed 3-pt hitch 5 years ago. He put them back on to sell and hydraulics don't lift. I pulled the Trans/hydraulic dip stick and see that there is some water build-up; so drain, check screen/filter and refill will be tried first. Thanks for any advice or input.

It would be a mid year 1964. That would make it a "high tin" eagle hitch tractor. I presume that there was not a C after 741 so it is a standard clutch gasser. The C denotes Case-O-Matic tranny.
Does your handle reflect that you live in NY., and if so where if you don't mind answering.

Do you have a picture of the back end of the tractor? Could they have hooked the hoses up wrong when they reinstalled the hitch?

Took 3 pics of rear end...doesn't look like any hoses had been disconnected/reconnected when I looked at it and took these pics. I purchased from a dealer after last owner traded in. Last owner dropped off eagle hitch draft arms and dealer reinstalled them. I don't remember dealer saying he had to reconnect hydraulics. But he did pull the fill cap/dipstick and we saw moisture/water had gotten in reservoir.

The very northern tip of Otsego Co. We were Case dealers since 1931-1986.

You should hear a hyd squeel when you move the remote lever and see the hoses jump when you move that lever. Also, how does the lever feel that operates the 3pt.? Does it come back to center when pulled back, and move forward and lock for float? It is posible that the finger is broke off in the control valve for the 3pt. It is detented and you should be able to feel the spool move through the detents as you move it up and down. The guys here will walk you any issues you have, after you are able to try it out.

A quick update on this 730....fixed hydraulic lift- spool sticking in pump- have 1500 psi pressure; replaced top and bottom steering bushings; straightened steering linkage and replaced tie-rods; replaced fluids- tans/hydraulic and engine- cleaned hydraulic screen/filter; rough cleaning; fixed drawbar connection. Hope to paint it and the 300 when weather warms up a little more.
