Anyone know or have a best guess.. What model year did Case change from metal to rubber remote hydraulic dust caps/covers? I have a 1952 DC and I have one of each. I'd really like to make it a matched set. Do I need one more metal or one more rubber? Oh the things that rattle around in my head .. Thanks for your comments and thoughts.

Interesting information to ponder. I was thinking about making a set of Aluminum Caps for my 1960 630 because I was thinking Case had gone to metal. Our '53 SC had Bakelite caps and now that you mention the 30 series having them too I remember our '63 830 had Bakelite caps. The Case remotes I picked up on eBay a while back to get the non useable, non plugged, rusty Pioneer set off came off a late model DC, or so the seller said. Could it have had to do with whether the tractors came from Racine or Rock Island? SC, DC and 730, 830, 930 were made in Racine, 600b and all smaller tractors thru the 430, 530, 630 were made in the Rock Island plant thru 1961 or 62 right? In that Case I need to make Aluminum ones for my 630 for it to be "original" yes or know. I like the aluminum ones as they were tied to the tractor with a small chain and harder to drop in the grass or dirt.

If any of you need some Case couplers, I think I have 2 or 3 sets. I have pulled them off of all of my tractors, and gone to Pioneer. Makes life a lot easier, when swapping equipment with the neighbors.
