I"m not trying to end-run the classified section of the board. My question regards shipping of parts. We"re cleaning out our storage and I"ve got a pair of 88 fenders and an 88 radiator that need to go. For those of you that have advertised and shipped parts, how have you shipped these larger parts and determined shipping expense to charge? |

I hope and pray large sized items sell local! But really, these items that are bulky but you can still ship I just try to quote a price as fairly as possible. Keep in mind how much time and duct tape some of these things take to prep for shipment- it all ads up. |

Shipping has become a nightmare. I just sold a Hudson intake manifold, for fifty bucks. Best deal on shipping so far, from Washington to Florida, is $65, sent by mule train and guaranteed to arrive before the world ends. |

Crossing the Mississippi is what kills you on shipping. If you can stay on your side it's a lot cheaper.
I know Fedex has an online estimator that if you give it box size, origin zip code and destination zip code, it'll give you the cost to ship. |
