Does anyone have the modern oil seal numbers for the F8 post hole digger? One for the PTO and the auger?

I have a old danuser post digger from the 40's. My dad has a newer (1973) ford post hole digger. They both use the same gear box head. At least just to look at them with the naked eye.Might try a older ford dealer.

Just remove the seals carefully so the number can be read, and take the old seals to NAPA or somewhere that sells bearings and seals. They will match them. You could just replace the gear oil with corn head greese to retard leakage.

The PTO shaft seal is a SKF 550085. I bought both seals from Danuser ,I gave the other seal to a neighbor who needed the bottom one. I could check too see if I can get the No. off of it.
