I have a k301 (12 horse)with a broken cam. I hear you can put a cam out of a k361 (18 horse)in it. Has anyone done this? The way I understand it there are several different cams put in the k361 but only certain one that would fit the k301.

Yes, a K361 cam will fit a K301, or K321 or K341. The problem is finding one! I looked for a year or so and never found one. The ones that had sold on eBay were in the 150+ range, so I gave up.

I just checked eBay, one sold recently for $175. Not worth that to me!

The pullers like the K361 cam, or you could get a cheater cam from several sources. If you are going to use the tractor for normal things like mowing and pushing snow, you would like a stock cam better.

My boy started pulling last year so I got my stock pulling tractor out (that I pulled for several years before),pulled the motor apart to find the cam busted in half. So while I have it a part I wanted the bigger cam, but I hear there where different cams put in the k361(18hp). Which one fits the K310? Where can I find it? Does any one have one for sale in Missouri?

I have several K series cams, but no K361, as that was the 18hp OHV version. If you have several of those, I would be interested at the right price.

Brian Miller would have one, or could get you one. Lakota Racing has lots of different cams.
Best price is Kirk Engines.
