Im looking for a replacement steering wheel for a 1964 65 deiselmatic. So far I ve got one that is not dished deep enough and another one thats dished deep enough, but has abig clumsy center that accepts a cap. Id like one where I can use original power steering cap. Im sure Im not the first with this problem hopefully someone has a solution for me.

Its pretty rough. More than half of the covering has broken off. I wonder if there are any outfits that redo them? These tractors with this set up should be pretty common.

You can take a hammer and bust all the old bakelite or plastic or whatever it is off the steering wheel. Go to parts store and get some heater hose that will close all the way around it. Wrap with black tape tight, put a steering wheel cover on it and away you go. So the same to the spokes. I have done this for long time and it works well and is cheap.

I appreciate it there scotty but Ive already put alot of time into it and money. I dont mind coughing up money for a wheel but Id like to put the machine right. Im thinking about cutting them up and making one out of the two.
