What is the difference other than the fuel setting between a 135 and a 155 White. I have a series three 135 mfwd that needs the pump gone through and I was wondering if it would do any harm to set it at 155 specs. Is the drive train heavier on the 155 or is the cooling capacity better? The engine has a fresh overhaul so it has the updated pistons if that makes any difference. Any thoughts would be appreciated

I don"t think there is much difference. Same final drives, trans, over/under, and engine. I"ve been told they used different injection pumps, probably the only difference is the injection pump head is bigger in a 155. Agparts first shows the same radiator for both models. I"d say put a bigger head in the pump and you should be fine. There have been some members on this board that have put in the military high compression pistons in the Herc engines and have some pretty impressive hp figures.

The newer 2-155"s had the larger over/under for the higher HP tractors. Other than what was mentioned they should be the same tractors.

I always thought they were identical rather than the 155 was turned up a little more
