    generator bushing

I had a old backplate that was cracked from over torque on the bolts. After cleaning it up I discovered a grove cut in the housing for oil flow around bushing. I did not notice one on the new housing. I have a new bushing coming with the new front bearing. I will look when I swap it out.

The new generator will not.removed bushing and Cut a grove in the outer portion of the bushing so oil can get to the bottom wick. I believe the bushing is oilite material from talking...

    generator bushing

My fairly new generator(ford 9n single wire) has been running hot lately. It starts getting hot at the rear bushing housing then migrates forward. Is the rear bushing supposed to have a hole or a lubrication grove? I add oil to the port but it never goes down. Is the bushing made of...

    9n starting

I have a 1941 9n. If tractor sits for a few weeks it takes forever to start. If it only sits a few days it fires right up. All 6 volt original with everything rebuilt or restored in the last year. Tractor runs great after started just hard to start after sitting. Any thoughts.

    Axel Seals

and if you decide to change the outer seal also you are going to need something like this and a large press to get the hub and bearing off, and some heat to get a new locking collar on.

Yea, that is what you said last time you commented on my sleeves. I guess it comes down to block condition. I didn't do it for sport

    sleeves in 8n

I rebuilt a 9n that had been running oversized pistons in a bare block with no sleeves. To make sure we removed all the damage I bored it out and used the .125 wall melling sleeves. It turned out real nice. I will see if I have the part number when I get home.

    done! finally, 1941 9n

I restored a 122 a few years ago with the creeper gears and ag tires. I use it in the garden and around the house all the time, very good piece of equipment. I'm going to mow with the 125.

I need to replace one of my rear fenders on a '49 8N

The original brackets are stronger. I just replaced the fender on a 9n and used the original bracket. I got mine from just 8ns. I was happy with it.
