Pressure Setting for MF 165 Multipower Transmission Pump

Wow, that's a lot of pressure. I don't have my manual handy but I believe the pressure for my 150 is 150psi for IPTO and 210psi for Muti-power

    MF 65 hydraulic issues

"Bent" Could the pump support pins be broken, letting the pump move around. Check this site for parts. Yes a bad o-ring could reduce pressure but should still be some. Wished you'd have checked pressure.

Bought my MF 150 rear wheels here.

    MF 65 hydraulic issues

Yes, it could be clogged badly. As to pump I'd fashion a pressure gauge out of the diverter valve where loader supply hose is connected. I don't know operating pressure for a 65 but my 150 is 2200 lbs I believe.

    MF 65 hydraulic issues

Is there a strainer on the 65 hydraulic system? If so, pull the lower bolts out of the PTO shifter cover and drain down to that level. Pull PTO lever and cover as a unit to access strainer.

Phone as a tool, backing it up?

PhotoStick. Haven't used it yet. Photos only I think.

MF 180, no need for that special roller tool.

I'm guessing you've dropped the roller in the belly of the beast b4. I use tag wire in one of the grooves.

Worst Car You have Ever Owned?

1958 Ford (retractable hardtop). It had 7 solenoids to operate the folding top and several switches to synchronize them. A real pain to keep in operating condition. Leaked a quart of oil daily even after replacing rear main and seal twice. Got 5 mpg out of the 390". Replaced with 1963 1/2...

    MF50 3-point won't lift

Arrows are pointing to filters, not pumps. Good to know a 50 doesn't have IPTO

    MF50 3-point won't lift

The spool behind right side case cover was stuck in place on my 150. With tractor shut off, moved lever by hand and all was well. Qt of ATF will clean the hyd up a bit by cutting varnish.

    MASSY 150 PERKINS GAS

165 like heavy front axle and much better steering system than 35/135. All around great small farm tractor. IMHO

Tightening a metal lathe cross feed

Sorta, it doesn't "Pinch" the thread. It spreads the nut a few thousands of and inch. There may be wear on the lead screw and possibly bind at different parts of it due to that. Adjust in small increments.

35x hydraulic pump and lift cylinder

There is an adjustment within the linkage to center the up position of the lift spool. If set wrong the lift shaft will turn too far and break the top cover. My manual is 600 miles from me right now. Big Dean CD's explained all of this. Too bad his family didn't follow up after his death and...

leak from the pin that holds the whole tractor together

After a complete rebuild (150) I drilled a hole in the inspection cover, installed cotter pin like the bell housing area. That way in the future I could see if leak was from rear engine seal or transmission shafts. There was a raised casting area between them.

Massey 265 PTO stops under load

Is there a test port on the IPTO cover where handle is? On my 150 it's 125 psi. If muti-power equipped 180-210 psi. My filter was plugged, brush cutter was slipping. yes, lift cover must come off.
