    JD 830 three point hitch

ok since this was brought up ill take it one step further, has anyone ever looked into the possability of bolting a rockshaft housing from a 720/730 onto a 820/830 and adding a 3 point? obviously there would have to be modifications to a lot of parts im sure to make it look half way decent but...

    820 cam removal

That’s the way it sounds with the 820 after reading the book. Yep, my 720D was putting 71hp out of the pto after I had the cam, pumps, and injectors done.

    420 oil pressure

I found some 50 weight engine oil and put it in for now, it raised the pressure but I haven't had a chance to run it for more than a couple minutes to see if it maintains pressure once warmed up good. I may end up just dropping the pan and checking things out, for peace of mind, once I get it in...

When I have done them I try to build them up so they are even with the rest of the flat area on the side of the slot that your working on. As long as there is enough room for the ball to side through the slot with a little to spare you should be good

    Craftsman Tools

Broke off 1 side our 3/4 inch breaker bar where the square drive pivots a couple years ago, couldn't find anyone that could warranty it and the craftsman website wasn't any help so I finally welded the pieces together and replaced the pin with a bolt and nut just last week. It got replaced with...

1959 JD 730 dual hydraulic box, where to find couplers for secondary outlets?

There is a gasket and 2 o-rings where it bolts onto the rockshaft housing and then there is 2 square packings where the 2 hydraulic pipes go in to it, all available from deere. The dual box takes longer bolts than the single if they weren't included with the dual box.

1959 JD 730 dual hydraulic box, where to find couplers for secondary outlets?

Here is how I did my 720 second outlet, I just got a set of outlets and brackets for the regular single outlet then cut the bracket and welded it so it would go upside down of how it was originally. I like how it turned out.

    420 oil pressure

Hi, I recently got a 420 crawler, the first time I used it the oil pressure seemed to fade away so I changed the oil and filter, I put in 10w-30, just had a chance to try it again and the oil pressure still drops after it gets warmed up. When cold it'll be just on the low side of the green...

    JD 420C track tension

OK thank you, I was working on the one track a little bit ago, once it got so far on the one side it started to compress the spring and push that bolt out the back side, does that mean I have a weak spring or did I just tighten to far, it was at about 2 inches at that time and then I lifted the...

Got a 4 roller 420 on an auction, book says should be 1.5 inches of sag in the track on the top side, mine are at 4.5 inches so I'm in the process of adjusting them. Question is do you guys run then that tight or is it better to run them a little looser than that? Also any other tips or tricks...
