    Rotory cutter blades wobble

Thank You. I figured as much, but as mentioned, my confidence in my judgement is a little low. I appreciate it.

    Rotory cutter blades wobble

I removed the blades to clean debris and lightly grind a few nicks out. Problem is, I've tightend them as much as I could but the blades wiggle up and down just a little on the shoulder bolt. Is the "shoulder" on the bolt what is doing that so the blade can be tightend without the blades...

    Which replacement discs to get

I'm actually going to do just that. I have to clean the edge on my rotary cutter blades. Might as well clean up this disc. I'll use it as is for now, but I will probably replace them in the not so distant future. I'll see how it works first. Thanks!

    Which replacement discs to get

Thanks! Is there in advantage to either notched or smoothed? I have very sandy soil if that matters. Lots of johnson grass that I am brush hogging now, but plan on plowing over to expose roots and rhizomes to winter. Not sure if that is important info or not.

    Which replacement discs to get

I just bought an old disc harrow for 80 bucks. I greased the fittings and everything spins smoothly now. The discs look a little beat up. I see agrisuply carries replacements. They measure just shy of 17". Ill assume they are 18s and just worn down pretty good. What other criteria needs to...

How to plant 5 acres of cover crop?

Ingenuity! Thanks. Maybe I'll make some sort of drag out of some chain link fence.

How to plant 5 acres of cover crop?

All good info to consider. I think I'd like to go with an annual. I plan on plowing it under and rotating my annual crops (especially garlic and onions). Perhaps the perennial cover crops can go between my asparagus rows. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out.

How to plant 5 acres of cover crop?

Grain drills seem expensive. Trying to keep start up costs down. Broadcast and drag would seem the route I would go for now. Thanks!

How to plant 5 acres of cover crop?

It was a corn field. I brush hogged it last summer and am only working a portion if it with row crops. I plowed, tilled and ran a bed shaper this past spring. I know the soil is deficient as per soil tests. I've been side dressing my rows and seems to be working well (very small scale). I'm...

How to plant 5 acres of cover crop?

I would like to plant up to 5 acres, maybe less, with crimson clover. I want to add nitrogen and hopefully prevent some washout over the winter before next spring when it all gets plowed under. I have no impliments for this. I know I will need a spreader, but how do I get the seed buried 1/4...

Which hydraulic oil to use for 1635

Thank You. It's amazing the kind of gospel type answers you get on some forums and groups. 1 person said if I use anything other than the dealer provided mahindra oils and filters, my warranty will be void. Another said if I use tractor supply stuff, my hydraulic pump WILL blow up. Thank You...

Which hydraulic oil to use for 1635

Thank You for the heads up. I didn't have the manual at my house. I ended up going to my shop property and read the manual (what a concept lol) they listed a few brands and specs that are approved by Mahindra. Of course I will still read any advice or experiences as they trickle in. Thanks...

Which hydraulic oil to use for 1635

I did a search here and am finding it hard to believe this wasn't discussed. I am getting ready to do the 50 hr maintenance. It says to change filter, but not fluid. 1. How is that done? Seems like the oil will start flowing out. 2. Although I'm not ready for the fluid change, which...
