    NAA Head-light

One of my headlights on my NAA got got pushed in, probably from a tree branch, and now the bulb is detached from the round metal headlight housing. I removed the screw holding the housing together and found 2 metal clips laying in the bottom of the housing. I'm not sure if they are broken or how...

    Sharpen bush hog blades

I would like to sharpen my bush hog blades without taking them off the mower. What tool is recommended to do this? A hand grinder of some type that I could get at Harbor Freight? Just want to give them some kind of an edge. Thanks.

    leaking oil filter

I changed the oil in my NAA yesterday and today I noticed it is leaking oil around the bottom of the oil filter canister when the motor is running. I had trouble at first because I had the spring in backwards but flipped it around and it went on much better and I thought it was on correctly. I...

Thanks for the valuable information. I have owned the tractor for about 20 years and the manual I have is a shop manual which doesn't mention the air filter. So thanks, I will probably purchase the owners manual.

Trying to identify part on NAA that is leaking oil

I have an NAA and there is vertical cylinder on the left side of the tractor that is leaking oil because the cup that is attached to the underside of the cylinder has developed small holes on the bottom. I don't know the name of the part so i don't know if I can purchase a new cup or should have...

Is is time to replace a 20 year old tire?

Thanks for the feedback. I will stick with the old tire and put a liner in it from this place: https://tiregard.net/ Hopefully that will keep the thorns out!

Is is time to replace a 20 year old tire?

I keep getting flats on my front tire on my Ford NAA from thorns. I purchased a tire insert and having a dealership install it. My tire is almost 20 years old. Should I replace the tire also or can a 20 year old tire go another 5 - 10 years?

    NAA won't hardly start

So after finally gettting my NAA started by fixing a badly connected wire from the coil to points, it still won't start reliably and "misses" when it does start. I'm planning on replacing the distributer cap and roter. Does anyone have any other suggestions? (I already replaced the points and...

    NAA won't start

Ok, so with a friends help we found a bad connection from the coil to the points. We fixed that and got it started. But now it does not start reliably and sounds like it is missing when it does run. I am now going to replace the distributer cap and roter. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Jim A

    NAA won't start

When you say a test lamp, is that something I can buy at a Lowes or auto parts store? Is it something that has aligator clips? I hate to ask dumb questions but I have done much automotive electrical testing. Thanks, Jim A

    NAA won't start

thanks for the suggestions. One thing I forgot to mention, when I was adjusted the points, I accidently left the key on. As I was turning the screw with screwdriver I saw a spark. Does that mean the wiring is all good (including coil) up to the points? Thanks, Jim A

    NAA won't start

Left the key on my NAA. After re-charging battery, it still won"t start. Replaced the points. Took spark plug out and grounded it with jumper cables to tractor but don"t see any spark when turning her over. Should I see a spark in this situation. I"m at a loss. Getting gas to the carburator...

    NAA rear axle problem

Well, I was bush-hogging over the weekend when much too my surprise, my rear, right wheel fell off! Luckily I was not thrown, and shut the tractor off right away. I have a "54 NAA and would like to know how to fix this. The wheel fits on the axle with grooves and apparently I lost the locking...

    gas cap

I lost my gas cap for my NAA. Where can I get another one like it? It was round and metal. I don"t want a cheap plastic replacement. Will a common auto parts store have anything? Thanks in advance. Jim

    NAA - cutting hay

I have an NAA and am interested in cutting hay with it. I currently have a bush hog, but realize this is not ideal. What are my options? Is there an implement I can get like a sickle bar, and if so, do I need to modify the tractor to support it? Also, any idea on the cost to buy the implement...
