    MF 150 vs IH 444

I’d buy the MF 150. But…. I’ve always wanted one! And I already have a loader tractor so I don’t know how they would for a loader

    Nuts For Horse Drawn Wagon

I agree. Yellow zinc coating would be worthless on a hay wagon. Hot Dip Galvanized is what I assumed was meant by the original poster.

    I think it’s a small Massy Harris - maybe a Pony?

    Cub mower repair.

I’ve had a, what you call “junk”, MTD made 50” Cub Cadet riding mower for 19 years. Total cost of replacement parts over those 19 years? About $50. I’ll take that “junk” any day!!

    Ford 801 a good deal?

What transmission? If it’s a five speed and live pto, then it’s either an 860 (if it’s a 1957) or an 861 if it a 1958 or later. I’ve got a 1958 861 gas with loader that I’ve been happy with. Don’t use it a lot though. It uses a lot more gas than my MF135. I paid $4200 for mine 20+ years...

    Face Shield or Safety Glasses?

I got a metal sliver embedded in my eye while grinding above my head with glasses on. Ended up without any significant long term damage to my eye but it’s a full shield for me now when grinding.

I agree that it’s a Clarktor Tug. Google search images look identical except the missing side panels.

    Looks like YT is kaput

Looks a little different but doesn’t seem to be that big a deal to me. Don’t really see anything that would come close to making it unusable.

    Solar

I have 26 panels, ground mounted - about 6 KW. I did most of the installation myself - just had the professionals do the actual electrical connections. Was no harder than installing a drain line. System has long paid for itself with interest. Havent paid a power bill in about 12 years. Never...

    Rebuilt built my first

Yeah I didnt know that when I first got one. Had my Ford tractor jacked up .the first time, bent down near it and felt the handle graze the side of my head when it let go. Im convinced it would have killed me if my head was a little bit further over. Been extremely careful using it ever since!!!

    Massey 1130 - Pricing?

Wow! Im my neck of the woods (Vermont) I usually see then at $8,000 - $10,000. Maybe those are not in rough condition though - but definitely in well used condition!

    Glow plugs

Thats what it supposed to do. Its timed to prevent the plug from burning out - at least thats how my New Holland tractor works.

    What vintage ?

Bob, I think you are on it. The downturn in the end of the front fenders and the little wrinkles at the top of the radiator are distinctive and match perfectly. Good job!

    What vintage ?

I own a 1919 Mitchell that looks a lot like that. Ill find a picture and post it. A number of automobile manufacturers had 6 cylinder touring cars in the 1918-1922 era that looked similar.

Do I have the wrong carb?!

I have an 861. I dont think the carbs for a 601 and an 801 are interchangeable. The bolt spacing is different, for one thing.
