    Thanks, I always thought 6 spline was 540 but thought I'd verify it on the moline tractors which I'm not familiar with. A guy I work with has used tractors that were from the factory 6 spline 1000 rpm, you had to idle down to get to 540. John K

    Was wondering if the pto is standard 540 rpm? I hooked a disk cutter up and even at idle it sounded as if it was going to lift off the ground by itself. Not my equipment so if it is 1000 rpm I'll use a different tractor. Thanks John K

    Thanks for the info. I also use the napa brand hytran in my 1066, my 706 still has ih hytran but next change is going to napa brand also. I think he or his helper just picked up the wrong oil so I wanted some elses opinion since I wasn"t sure what damage it would do. John k

    I'm working for a guy with a 1066, he is running straight hydraulic oil #46 in place of hy tran any insights on what damage this will do. Gears are making a knocking sound. I use hy tran in all my farmalls so I never had any experience running straight hydraulic oil. Thanks for any help. John K

    Looking for insight but I think injector pump is my culprit. Old girl will start but not get above idle no matter where throttle is and after about a minute dies like it ran out of fuel, will restart but each time runs less time.
