    To be clear, how do I "check for gas flow" while it is hot? Since the carb is next to the manifold, do I risk a fire working on it hot? Will check for spark.

    Will check these things off one by one. A couple of questions, why would the fuel line start getting too hot when it has never been an issue before? Would this be due to a new exhaust leak in the manifold perhaps?
