    930CK & 1070 same Hyd. Problem. I'm stumped

I think we are mincing words here, I have never seen one melted, I have seen and repaired many where the plastic or nylon body is distorted from heat and protrudes out into the bore area where it is not supported, seen plenty of them, as I stated earlier but will repeat, the easiest way to...

    930CK & 1070 same Hyd. Problem. I'm stumped

I think a better term would be distort, I have seen many over the years where the plastic guide that the spring sets on would bow in its length and I have had many that I had to use a propane torch to blow in and soften the body so it would be soft enough to come out. John is correct in...

Got a bunch of work done on my 530

It was common practice to put 2 seals with the old flat seals but I do not see that in the parts breakdowns, Maybe John has a service bulletin concerning this, the new seals are built differently as the rubber sealing surface sticks out in front of its metal cage, if 2 new style seals are...

Got a bunch of work done on my 530

Diff lock seaI? I sacrificed a right-angle O ring pick, ground the tip short, thinned it a bit and put it in under the lip, turned it 1/4 turn and used side cutters grabbing the pick shaft at the end of the shaft and popped it out. Did many of them, I would get a piece of exhaust tubing before...

Put the 530 on the grinder again

Jon, I think the reason that you have to advance the timing from 8 is that your advance is not working properly in the injection pump, there is a tool that consists of a plastic window with degree markings on it so you can watch the advance work which you put on in place of the timing window...

    Beginning fixing up an 830

It appears to be in the big red wire that feeds the whole tractor, it is#1 on each side of the breaker and comes back to the Ignition switch to feed the tractor, It is not showing how the charge wire from the generator gets back to the starter but there is not any other wire coming from the gen...

    Beginning fixing up an 830

Here is a wiring diagram for the 830 tractors with the Gasoline engine, it was posted years ago on this forum. Hope it helps, I am going to try to find out what that circuit breaker does, because if it is in the charge wire it creates a problem on an alternator conversion. Anyway hope this helps.

    Which camshaft for early 188D?

You could double check me on this. but the rear journal may be milled to let oil by a certain spot when it turns to meter the amount of oil up there. It has been a while since I worked on one but your comment made me think about it, as I said, don't take me to the bank on this.

Eagle Hitch Parts... Do I need something for mine?

Nice Pic. Just what he needed. .Thanks DC, I think that setup mimics some Quick Attach mechanisms I have seen that mount on the ball style arms to make them QA. It would not be bad if the pin size matched that big opening. It would not really be that bad a set up, The V series had a similar...

    Case ( Drott ) 35BEC ???

Herk, there is a forum on here devoted to the backhoe/excavator market, most on here lean toward antique Case agricultural tractors and later Case ag tractors, try the crawlers, loaders ,dozers and backhoe forum on this site, I am sure there are more knowledgeable people there than on this site.

Eagle Hitch Parts... Do I need something for mine?

A nice close up side view of the arm ends would help but, I could be entirely wrong, but it looks like someone tried to make a quick hitch locking arrangement, I have never seen a stock eagle hitch setup like that, the stock setup has a sliding piece for the pins to ride in and when that is...

Case 930CK Leaking at Throttle Linkage?

Jon is correct in his assessment of the problem, if by chance it is a shaft leak rather than the housing worn, there is a fat Oring there that is easily replaced by removing the governor throttle arm. While probably not as good as the epoxy repair, I have cleaned them down and dried everything...

    Mating a 7/8/9/1070 axle to a 2090???

Without checking I would say yes, I don't believe the 2090 system would be much over 2000 lbs. You could probably use the steering pipes off the 870 and have hoses made to crimp to the pipes. I do not see any major problems, the water inlets to the radiator are in the same position as the 2090...

    580CK, need information.

Cam gear failures are not common on that engine, but I have had several with sheared cam keys over the years, I always replaced them with hardened keys and never had a repeat. The pan being full of light liquid is a cause for concern obviously. If it is not antifreeze that is a plus but then...

    970 case mechanic/expert needed

I would immediately find out why the clutch pedal does not come up against its stop, the position of the clutch spool determines the amount of pressure going to C2 clutch which is your master clutch pac for starting out. Remove the floor plate and watch the clutch spool, it must go completely...

    Case 2390 power shift issues

Glad to be of help, I was there when they were introduced and got out at about 2014 but we had become a utility dealer before that so I worked on the later electric power shifts but refrain from answering many posts on them as hydraulic issues and electrical issues are both at play there and...

    Case 2390 power shift issues

You have to be careful about the amount of surge, the retard screws are sensitive to viscosity changes as the oil temp changes. If the powershift retards are set up in warm temperatures there is a possibility that in severe cold when the retard screws have to deal with thick oil that the...

    Case 2390 power shift issues

If the retard screws were tightened too far in it would cause it to stay bogged down or to have a long bog and then a release, if you have any doubt, back them out several turns and try it, just mark the screws and count the turns. if properly adjusted you should hear a slight surge when making...

Case DC ring and pinion help

Do u have the service manual with the instructions on how to set the pinion depth. It has been years since I have done one but there is a gauge that the pinion sits against the mainshaft. Maybe someone has the thickness of that gauge piece, I'm thinking it is .500 square stock but easily could...
