shifting plate for 8 speed single stick

The 1st 730s & 830s (1960) used a single stick, the same as the 700 800. They used a Shift Knob w/ the Pattern on the knob. Very prized today if you could ever find one. Then CASE went to the 2 stick until the introduction of the Comfort Kings, when the Range Shift was on the dash to the left...

    930CK & 1070 same Hyd. Problem. I'm stumped

I have never seen 1 melted. The Thermal Relief Valve Assembly consists of a Piston and Seat, O Ring, Spring and Ball. Excessive pressure on the circuit causes the spring loaded assembly to work against the spring and relieve some pressure. I have found the plastic pieces damaged, but never melted.

    930CK & 1070 same Hyd. Problem. I'm stumped

I have to trust he did things right. If he messed up the thermals, I think more than 1 outlet would be affected.

    930CK & 1070 same Hyd. Problem. I'm stumped

Got a customer with both an 8sp 930CK and a 1070. Both have the same problem. Good pump pressure, and good pressure on 3 remotes, but both tractors have 1 weak remote. Interestingly, both have been on implements w/ 1 way cyl's. He rebuilt the Thermal Reliefs on both tractors, but did not...

    Help with engine identification

No question about it, someone did a complete engine swap w/ a very late 730 w/ the spin on filters. Not a cob, all factory, except the 730 from '65 on used a fuel filter indicator light and you have the mechanical fuel pressure gauge as indicated by the line. Internals on the 730 and 800 are...

How Should I Seal The Roof On Our 4890??

I pulled the roof off our 4890 and what a mess!! The seal had cracked and let moisture in and caused rust on the metal lip. Lots of caked dirt all around. When I pulled the foam from the under side of the roof sheet, there was extreme rust and deep pitting in 1 area. I cleaned that all up and...

Case 450 Crawler dozer wont start...I'm stumped

I wouldn't be pulling the head until you get this fuel problem fixed. Mist at the injectors instead of a stream. Fix that problem 1st.

I got a hunch "Dieseltech" will chime in on this 1. Keep an eye out.

Case 450 Crawler dozer wont start...I'm stumped

There shouldn't be streams. The injector should stay closed until pressure is reached, then a pop and mist.

Case 450 Crawler dozer wont start...I'm stumped

"Small puffs of smoke"? Sounds like a fuel issue. Should be lots of smoke. The 188's are great starting diesels. When everything is right, including enough battery, a 188 will start in 5 seconds at 25 degrees F.

    question for John Saeli

Everything, including the brakes on the 8sp 930 and 1030 are the same. Some of the part numbers in the books are different from1 book to the other, but when I sub them, they go to the same number, such as the Ring & Pinion.

When You Think You've Heard It All!!!!!

Heard that same thing happen here locally with a 930 6sp in an Amish shop. The Amish running the shop could not figure out how the tractor left the factory w/out the rear seal, so somehow he installed 1.

When You Think You've Heard It All!!!!!

Mike: It's no shame being a student of hard knocks. I've been 1 all my life, never been able to graduate from the school, but there are some that shouldn't even be students.

When You Think You've Heard It All!!!!!

Sometimes I relay to some of you who call here, what I have heard and I know some of you don't believe me. Today this happened. A guy calls here and says his tractor is a 6sp w/ a hydraulic clutch but doesn't know the model. He wanted to know. OK, some quick thoughts come to mind, but this...
