    2- cylinder Deere diesel engines ?

    The R had a different style piston from the 80, 820, and 830. The R had a hole in the piston with a hollowed out ball shape down in the piston like a precombustion chamber in the piston. The 80-830 had the "Mexican hat" in the top of the piston. Neither were designed by deere.

    It's highly likely the diff lock valve is leaking some pressure throught to the diff lock plug/ cap the line and see if the growl goes away. I have seen this problem many times.

    John Deere 620 will not steer (power steering).

    There is only one valve in the steering of that tractor and is very unlikely that it stuck. Most likely the steering cylinder has failed. It is a rotary cylinder and can have bolts break off inside. The keyway in the pump may have failed.

    Most people way over inflate their zeroturn tires. Nearly all units recommend 8-12 psi and that requires a low pressure gauge. They go out of my shop at 8 psi.

    The "Tweel" is not failure free and at the cost, an air filled tire with slime is likely to outlast the Tweel at a fraction of the cost.

    The seal lip garter spring needs to face the oil for correct installation. This makes the seal more difficult to install, but is the correct installation.

    If the 2755 has a Bosch alternator, I would be suspect of it. I have a 2750 and before it was 5 years old the alternator gave lots of trouble. I finally threw the Bosch in the trash and installed a Delco 10si, which has worked all these years since.
