    Selling Timber

    Ive got a couple tree guys wanting to buy my works. Its never been logged out . It has around 100 trees they want. The second estimate was 4500 more than the first guy offered. I dont know anything about this stuff. I called 4 or 5 guys that buy logs, and only two guys showed up.

    U tractors could be green or yellow or other colors also. I know of a factory red one. I have a 430 T that was orange from the factory. Brown was also a color used on 320 420 tractors. Jd would paint whatever the custom wanted in volume. Ive seen some white JD 4440 tractors.

    Texting

    I dont text it takes up to much time. Ill get a text wanting to know about an overhaul on a tractor I had for sale. It would take 3 paragraphs to answer in a text and a couple minuites talking.

    There’s one in my neighborhood that had 2500 hours and didn’t need paint or restored. He was asking 17000 and never sold it.

    1959 John Deere 430W

    You can spend a bunch of money on it and it would probably not change anything. That’s the nature of the 420, 430 tractors. The tranny has straight cut gears that would whine when new. They corrected that with the 1010 series when they went to spiral cut gears.

    It has a roosamaster pump, no manual transfer pump,just gravity.

    I have a case 450 diesel dozer around a 1973 model. It can set over winter and start instantly , but will die 30 seconds later. It will crank,but no start. I usually nurse it with a little starting fluid . If I keep it running for a minute or so it will keep running. I’m assuming it’s loosing...

    Jd 530 shifter question.

    I have a JD 530 tractor. The gear shift lever won?t go high enough to go into the quadrant for 4th gear. It goes into the other gears. It needs to go another 1/2 inch or so.
