Concrete ready mix vs mix your own

I just looked at that last night with Menards flyer that came out. Had type 3 air entrained Portland for $9.99/ 95 lb bag. Looking at a MnD.O.T. concrete mix design I have here on my desk as an example, for a 3300 psi bridge mix it calls for 533 lbs of portland/yard. Looking at about 56.00 a...

    frost line?

If you Google (MNDOT frost depths) you'll see Minnesota Department of Transportation has sensors buried in roads throughout the state to aid in knowing when to remove spring weight restrictions. Current depths on several are at 96" and that"s as deep as they read. I would guess 100" could be...

    Firewood processor

Uncle and cousin just bought a Dyna. I believe made in Michigan. Paid 26 K for it and running 36 cord yearly between them. They figure if they can cut 15 cord/ month for others @ 30$/ cord. They'll bank enough to payoff in 5 years. I haven't penciled it out, or seen it. Time will tell.

    Do you believe in ghost

Sister said my 5 year old niece kept talking and giggling and in a restaurant. Suddenly said "leave me alone" in a rather turse tone. Sister asked her who she was talking to and she replied "that little boy". (Just my sister, her daughter and husband setting alone at a remote table) Come to find...

    Looking for a small dozer.

I have owned and worked the crap out of a TD-6 for the past 18 years. They are nice little machines for moving light brush, snow, skidding logs ect. There are not a stump grubbing, dirt moving hog whatsoever though. At roughly 32 horse and 8000+/- pounds and a 7"6" blade it"s not a beast by any...

Cop do they have to obey the laws??

Old, look up 20/20 segment from ABC news from early October. It was about speeding cops. Investigators set up cameras in cars on freeway and waited for cops to pass at excessive speed without sirens, lights ect. They followed those cops to their destination and questioned them. Most were pretty...

    New tool for me

I bought the 18 volt Dewalt rotary laser. Paid 5-600$ dollars for it 10 years ago. Treat it with kid gloves and I bring it in the house in the winter rather then leaving it in -35 garage. I use it about 2x a year but it's so handy. You'll find plenty of use for yours. Good Purchase!
