    The electric start parts should bolt right on, I've even seen it on unstyled Ds. If you go TOO early the red head indicator makes issues, but your 39 should be no problem as far as I know

    The rear large cover is for most of the transmission, but the actual shifting gears are under the cover ahead of it and I honestly keep forgetting the styled Ds make that a bit harder to get to. You might be able to see the shifting gears while looking in the large cover...it's been a few years...

    Depending on the year it has an external parking brake that could get locked up. Since you mention dash it would be styled and the brake is external, below the flywheel Does it have a pedal? One pedal, three?
