I am not convinced that the engine is .I put remained injectors in it and had one stick open not long after i put them in. It could very well be fuel related or even sucking air in the fuel line some where , it just seams like the E-break is dragging but it rolls freely when its out of gear ... -

Would that cause the engine to run a little hot over time? Like slowly heat up after about 30 min of use. -

new engine , new injectors engine runs great just don't have much torque, ford backhoe 256ci 4cy , new filters . Acts like the the fuel filters are clogged but they are new. -

wow I would have never thought about the air coming from the injector but that makes sense that its just one line. I just put new injectors in it and have about 5 hours on them. I will check that this evening. -

92, 555c I have air in the lines at #4 injector line out of the back of the injector pump but its only #4 when I crack the lines on 1-3 the engine sputters with no air just fuel . when I crack the fuel line on #4 engine does not change and I get fuel with lots of air, is the pump bad ? I am... -

if you take it out of gear it rolls like it should , I am having the radiator rodded out to eliminate that, i did not own it before the rebuild, 1996 555c that sat for about 6-8 years and the engine had water in one cylinder due to the air filter being removed ,backhoe runs flawless but in drive...- mic-t

when in gear , forward or reverse it feels like the brakes are dragging but when you put it in neutral it rolls nice and easy , engine gets hot when you push a little load , engine has about 20hr on a fresh rebuild , could the trans filter be stopped up , the trans oil looks very clean, seams to...- mic-t

that push button primer does leak when you use it and now that i think about it there is some wet dust collecting around that area. I will look at it first thing when i get home.- mic-t

1992 555c ford back hoe engine hunting at mid rpm range and at idle , I am thinking a bad injector seeing as all filters are new. getting a little black smoke when you accelerate.- mic-t

The brakes were stuck when I went to load it. Had to rock it back and forth to free it up . All the lugs are tight- mic-t

Ford 555c brake issues
555c ford backhoe , been setting for quit a few yrs and now that its moving the rear wheels seem to be popping sometimes like the brake is sticking but i dont feel it I just hear it. Is this something to be concerned with or is it in need of just working it lose- mic-t

Well that makes me feel a little better. I have about 10 ac. of stumps to dig up so its going to get a workout . I will dig through the posts and see what i can find . I apricate all the info you guys on this forum have been a life saver. -

That would be a lot of condensation, the oil is WHITE. The fact that the pump was exposed to rain for a long period of time. I would be ecstatic if it was just condensation. -

It's been sitting for about 10 yrs . Rebuilt the engine . They had the pump covered but it must have been leaking . I should have drained it before starting it the first time . But I didn't and now the oil is milky and needs to be drained and flushed , possibly several times
