Reel bearings on New Holland hillside rakes

We had a NH 56 and drilled the ends for grease fittings. After that never changed those bearings again. Greased it after every 30. Acres. I think it had bearings like your 256.

    Oliver 1800c hydra-power issues

Did you check gear oil level in rear end? If you take filter off, left side by brakes and start it you can see if any gear oil is getting pumped to transmission bearings, it is low pressure around 10 psi. Why was it parked?

I have a garage door opener that is 35 years old

The reason you have 3 wires on one is it is the receiver and it needs a plus and minus and the white is its signal return. The other one is the emitter or transmitter and only needs plus and minus to power it. We had a light curtain on a machine where I used to work. Certain times of the year...

    Rear hub swap

Used to change hubs inside to outside every year. 1650 with 18.4 tires. Hub inside to plow, outside to pick corn. As someone said turn the axle not the wheel to line up the lugs.Never dealt with dual hubs.

    550 Gauge cluster wiring

If you have the operator manual it has the wiring schematic in it. Fuel and temp gages and oil light go to accessory on ignition switch. Amp light goes to alt and bat terminal. Lights go to light switch.

Will the c-159 oil filter work for 52 Oliver 77?

Yes, the c-159 work fine, a little shorter than the original. Filled with string like the c- 252. The c253 is for the diesel, it's taller.

If you cant beat them join them

Yes. It was the mid 1950's before they figured out an angled steering wheel or one stick transmission shifter or foot clutch.

    Parisitic draw

Easiest way to test a battery is replace it with a battery from another vehicle. If it goes dead over night it's not the battery. Used to be batteries were dry until you bought them then the salesman would put the acid in them and charge them. Now they take one off a shelf and say there you go...

    Oliver 88 slow 1st gear

Don't know where you are at but if you have hilly land a power booster or hydra-power isn't good. Those free wheel in low range. Probably smaller wheels is your best bet, if you stay with the 88. A 770 or 880 doesn't gain you much. Maybe lower gearing but same hydraulics, same pto, add on power...

    Oliver 88 slow 1st gear

Would a power booster work in a 88? That would slow you down 25% in low range.

    Ball joint rubbing tire

I wonder if the one rubbing is slightly twisted. Looks like those links or arms could be swapped side to side and toe in would be corrected with threads on tie rods. Would be a good time to replace the thrust bearings and bushings in the knuckles.

    550 gearshift

My Mom hated my 550. She could never find the correct gear. My son hates it as well. But they are both right handed. For me it is great. One of the few tools that is left handed.

Woods 72 BRUSHBULL to Oliver 1650

As I said on previous post 26 you have to move bottom arms on tractor around to get the correct width for your cat 1 mower. Those arms are offset for a reason. That's why it takes so long to hook up. It tells all that in the tractor operator manual.

Woods 72 BRUSHBULL to Oliver 1650

Can't blame you for wanting a pull behind mower. Can pull it with anything with a pto. I've mowed a lot of grass hay with my Woods mower but it has about 5 inch opening across the entire back end.

Woods 72 BRUSHBULL to Oliver 1650

This is what I have on an Oliver 550. No little link. Long brace can move a little back and forth.

Woods 72 BRUSHBULL to Oliver 1650

I wonder if that little link should be flipped up and bolted through the second hole so it's rigid. In looking through the pictures seems like it would work. Worth a try. Top link would have to be lengthen out. Your remotes are the levers you are using for the loader now. That Oliver Guy has...

Woods 72 BRUSHBULL to Oliver 1650

I think if the top link is hooked to top of mower it would be better. That little link may have been for a Farmall only, not a standard 3 point hitch. Looked at my woods cadet 72 inch, and it doesn't have that Little link. For your loader go power beyond and get a 2 spool open center valve. That...

Woods 72 BRUSHBULL to Oliver 1650

You can switch the lower arms, on the tractor to get to the correct width for your cat 1 mower . The balls stay on the implement and open the claws on the Tractor. Get the non adjustable side locked on first. Use the crank to get the other side locked. Looks like the top mount has been...
