    OT- how long can you keep peanut oil after deep frying?

    I use it 3 times then let it settle well before before I filter it and add about a gallon to the fuel tank of my MF 135D whenever I refuel. Been doing this for 10 years with no ill effects. Sure makes the exhaust smell good!

    Farmall H4 Magneto

    Tom, I understood what you were saying. My first thought was also the origional coil breaking down when it got hot. However replacing it made no difference. I do have a new coil cover installed and have had no problems with hot starts. Thanks for your comments.

    Tom, my thoughts were also that there would be some corrosion on the contact tab but it was clean and seemed to be making good contact with the coil. I shined it up anyway with a piece of fine sandpaper and it made no difference. I did do a little experment last night with wifey's hairdryer...

    Best engine oil for pushmower??

    10W-30 would be a distant second choice. I've used nothing but straight 30 DETERGENT oil in all of my small engines for the last 40 years with no oil related problems. The exception is my snowblower. 5W-30 goes in it just because it gets used in cold, sometimes below 0 temps.

    H4 Magneto Coil

    Does anybody know the correct NAPA/Echlin part number for the ignition coil on an H4 mag? Looking at their on-line catalog it shows 2 different part numbers, EHC IC1851 and EHC IC1812. My local store would have to order them so I can"t in advance compare either to my old one. Thanks
