    Ditto Greg especially running beans or high dust crops, granted if you run your cylinder at a high speed in dusty conditions it will shake for a few seconds on startup even with or without filler bars.

    7018 on AC, please help me!

    I was taught the 7018 is strictly a DC rod if you want both the 7014 is the rod to use. Check the welding rod book. We use 7018 all the time but DC only. I'll try to find my Hobart book and post.

    Oh yeah as Mike also said it's never a good idea to send a lot of straw through a machine because grain tends to hide in the straw and is hard to shake out by the walkers and tends to do what is termed "ride over" especially if the straw is damp and grain tends to stick to the straw tuburs.
