    TO-35 wiring for lights

    The TO-35 gas was 6 volt positive ground. It sounds like you have power to one side of the light bulb and you are making a ground, complete circuit when you connect the wire to the neg battery post. You can run the lights that way if you want. Some foreign cars use the ground for a switch.

    PS: I heated the block just before putting on the JB Weld. In my other reply it sounds like I did it before I prepared the crack for the JB Weld. The JB Weld also worked great on a pinhole in the oil pan.

I have drilled both ends of the crack to stop it and heated the block hot but not burning hot and did some grinding and washing with acetone and filled the crack with JB Weld.     Sorry. I missed that reading your post. I never did one on that engine but if thats what you have to do to retorque them then I would do it. Try some copper seal on the next gasket.

    I don't know if anyone is making them but you can get one custom made for around 100.00 to 125.00. Search Google for custom made copper head gaskets. They will need your old one. Your problem might be a warped head. Did you torque bolts from the center out and retorque after the engine warmed up?

    Same here. That engine will probably run another 50 years at 5 lbs pressure. Valvoline 10w-30 will work fine. For extra protection mix 1/2 regular Valvoline 10w-30 with Valvoline 10w-30 Racing Oil. You will get more zinc and phosphours in the system.

    My mistake, you dontt time a governor but you do match up the marks on the governor gear with the cam shaft gear to time the magneto. Sorry.
