Massey 1080 New Brake Boot leak

On Sunday, I replaced both of the leaking brake boot seals on my 1080. After filling the oil up, one side was completely dry, while the other side had a puddle of oil under it after only a few hours. I may take it off and make sure I installed it correctly, which I'm pretty sure I did. Are there...

8n wont start after engine rebuild

Yea, I'm not sure if it had an aftermarket flywheel or what, but there were no markings through the inspection hole when the engine was at TDC. The flywheel was installed correctly though.

8n wont start after engine rebuild

Thanks for the help guys. I must of not put the flywheel on correctly after the engine rebuild, because the marks on it were not even close to top dead center. I pulled the head off and re-timed the distributor, then it fired up! Now it and my Massey 1080 are getting painted which will be an...

8n wont start after engine rebuild

Yes sir, the cylinder closest to the radiator. the tractor is disassembled for paint, so I just pulled the head off and all of the valves are opening and closing when they should. It feels like strong compression with my thumb over the spark plug hole, but I can get my tester out later to check...

8n wont start after engine rebuild

Hey guys, I'm a little stumped on my Ford 8n no start. I rebuilt the engine last month, and after getting everything back together I only get an occasional backfire with starting fluid. During the rebuild, I marked the crank and camshaft to make sure they went together correctly, and they seem...

    No power to starter solenoid

I’m currently trying to get a friends 12 volt converted 8n running and we are having some electrical issues. The tractor makes a clicking noise from the solenoid but nothing else. I lightly cleaned a few of the wires, but that did not help. I also swapped the starter and starter solenoid from...

    Remove Manifold?

Thanks for the replies. I ended up removing the manifold and blowing all of the crap out. Luckily I didn’t break the studs or anything, so now I’m in the process of putting everything together again.

    Remove Manifold?

I’m installing a head gasket on my Ford 9n, and wire wheeled the deck. Some of the rust and gunk on the deck may of got into the valves when I was cleaning. Would y’all recommend removing the manifold to vacuum out everything better or leave it on?

    Ford 9n Head Studs

Hi yall, I had to drill out a head stud recently and I'm looking for the part number. It appears to be longer than the 3 inch studs since it also goes through the spark plug tube mount. Anyone know of the part number?
