What Did You Do With Your Green Tractor Today?

Attended a community Olde Tyme Days the last two days with some other members of the Keystone Oliver Club. They were featuring Oliver this year. This morning we drove in a parade. They hadn’t said so ahead of time so at the staging area we suggested that since Oliver was the featured brand, they...

    John deere 25A sprayer pressure?

On ours, the pump had small chains that attached to the drawbar of the tractor to keep it from turning as the PTO rotated.

What Did You Do With Your Green Tractor Today?

I put these eye bolts in through the front axle to hook a chain onto for transport. I had started out putting a chain through the hole for the front cultivator pipe. When I mounted the cultivator on, I put the chain around the front axle for lack of better idea. So now with the cultivator frame...

    Tripping more

Age 69 and the last year or two I just seem to be banging into things as I move around, even walking through doorways, hitting my elbow or hands. I can sense my balance isn’t what it used to be.

Farmall 656 hood washers---a small but important item--but buy the right ones!

What I don’t understand is why those washers that came on my 826 hood bolts didn’t come with a rubber/neoprene washer to start with. They have a slight dish to them. I ended up getting these. A little larger diameter than the original.

    Another Project in the Queue

Thank you. I have a minor dilemma when it comes to the paint scheme. The original colors would have been green pipes and everything else red. As you might’ve noticed the one in the photo had a bit of a mix of green and red frame sections, probably resulting from repainting and replacement parts...

    Chain Rating

I think 1 clevis would be faster and also reusable.😄

    1550 narrow front

Is that #1 as in your top/first 1550 or as in #1 off the assembly line?

    Another Project in the Queue

I made an undercarriage to sit on top of some dollies to hold the cultivator frame while I work on it. I’ll be able to move it around in the shop as needed and hopefully be able to move it outside for sanding or wire brushing. Nice to get it off the 77 since it is going to a show at the end of...

    Chain Rating

Thanks. Yes, I was making an assumption without knowing otherwise that the hooks are original to the chain. I am not going to use this chain for securing tractors or equipment on a trailer. I bought all new grade 70 chain for that. Still curious about the M and INR markings.

What Did You Do With Your Green Tractor Today?

Moved my ‘51 77 out of the shop for the first time since last fall. I had to get it away from the wall where the pipes come across to my LP heater so the LP supplier’s tech could get at all the fittings in order to track down a leak. I’ve had the battery on a maintainer the whole time. The old 6...
