    Problem solved. Even though the manual says this Simms pump does not require bleeding this is incorrect. There is a bleed screw on the pump attached to a black plastic line. Once this was free of air, fuel got to the injectors and we were away

    I changed the fuel filter on my 7610. The engine started and ran briefly afterwards. Fuel is getting to the lift pump and there is no air in the filter. Looking at the shop manual, I have a Simms Injector Pump with a self-bleeding line and it says pump bleeding for this type is unnecessary...
