    pto

1710 Ford 4x4 gear drive---pto grinds when trying to engage even with clutch depressed and the pto, when engaged, won't stop with the clutch depressed. Is thislive pto and is there supposed to be a 2 stage(dual) clutch on this model? Any ideas? Suggestions would be appreciated. Greg

Thanks Bern--I do have the rubber plug on the right side and I also have the loader in the way. I'm happy to hear that I probably won't need to split the machine.

    snowplow

1710 Ford 4x4 with bucket loader---Mounting a truck snowplow with hydraulic raise and angle. Have a joystick loader style valve block/body to use separately to angle the plow. It has an open center so the fluid can flow thru to the reservoir and still operate my bucket loader. My problem is it...

I understand how single acting cylinders work. The hydraulic block/control isn't allowing the fluid to return.

    snowplow

I'm using just 2 lines/hoses because I'm only trying to angle the blade/plow. I've mounted the plow onto a quick attach plate because I have a quick attach bucket. On the hydraulic block/control there are 4 operating ports---A1-A2 and B1-B2. I've connected the lines to the A1-A2 ports and capped...

    snowplow

That's basically what I wrote in the post. The problem is that the fluid can't be pushed out of one cylinder as the other cylinder is extending because the valve block being used is meant for 2-way cylinders. It doesn't allow the fluid being forced out of the returning cylinder to flow back to...

    cold start

These g/p only stay on a few seconds and unless I wait 30/40 seconds they won't come back on. Block heater sounds like a good idea.

    135 MF clutch

Thanks Jim. I couldn't understand why there would be a 2-stage clutch for an independent pto. I thought they were used with the live pto.
