‘49 8N Ignition Problem

Falcocaster

New User
First time poster and 8N new guy here. I’ve been reading through old threads for awhile, but need a little specific help.

I was recently given a ‘49 8N that has been sitting for 2 years. Previous owner says it was running about 2 years ago before being parked. It does have 12V conversion. I’ve completed basic maintenance….fluids, filters, plugs, points, etc… It turns over fine, but will not start. Appears to be an ignition issue….no spark and ammeter does not move while cranking.

I have replaced points, plugs, and distributer cap, but see no change.

With 12.6V at the battery, I am getting ~10V at the termination on the coil.

The coil itself measures 0.6 ohms.

These photos show the wiring setup. It’s dirty, but I am getting continuity throughout the circuit.

Any recommendation as to where to go next?

Appreciate the help in advance!
