I split apart my 1975 1030 alone.
The complete bucket assembly had to be removed because of the location of the controls.
Replaced the rear main seal and oil pan gasket.
Been having trouble putting it back together until I found this forum.
Thanks!! To whoever stated locking in the PTO would allow the shaft to be turned.
Lot easyer than trying to turn the flywheel.
I do have another problem but will post about it later, the shaft that raises & lowers the back thingy (can't think of what it's called,dang it) is broken on the end so PTO is useless unless I can lower the bush hog.
PS. I removed the bucket assembly with my truck and a floor Jack.
