175 power steering issue.

OK, next issue. I repaired a lift cylinder on my 175 and it works great, but now, I don't have any power steering. I wouldn't think the 2 things would be related, but did I miss something?

The pump for the lift is in the transmission/differential case. Your 175 has a power steering pump on the engine, doesn't it? Have you checked the fluid in the PS pump?

Thanks. Will do that as soon as I figure out where it is. LOL. The manuals I have don't seem to match up well with the tractor on some details.

The right Massey Ferguson manuals for the 175 should match up to your tractor. What manuals do you have? Which MF 175 do you have? Serial number?

Depending on the engine, different power steering pumps were used. These two pictures will give you an idea of where to look.

Tractor is from 1969. The manual that I have (bought online) seems to address the Perkins diesel and the Continental gas, based on the pictures you shared above. However my Tractor has a Perkins gas engine.

Here are the publication numbers shown on the AGCOpubs site. Look for the 7-digit number, the M suffix number changes with printings, and will not make much if any difference. Check the publication numbers on what you have, reprinters usually include it somewhere.
