1950 s case triple speed, gas engine

Having issues keeping my 1950 s case triple speed running. I replaced the carburetor with a Korean knockoff and it worked great for about 2 hours. Lost the fan belt, let it sit for a week, fixed the belt. Had a terrible time getting it to start, would run good for approximately 5 minutes then shut down. Has lots of vacuum but acts like the fuel is vaporized then cools for a restart. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to what I need to look for?

Do you still have the original carb? If so, get a kit, several Youtube videos on rebuilding, watch one, then rebuild the old. That is my suggestion.

You've got it figured out, the carburetor is not carburating. throw that new carb back in the scrap bin and get the old one rebooted and put it back on. The
Chinezzze knock off can't be fixed, the old one can be. BTW, I was unaware of an S model Case that had a triple range transmission. Is that what you meant by
triple speed??? Always looking to expand my CASE tractor knowledge. gobble

Had that trouble with my 310, would run for about 5 minutes and quit. Let it set awhile and run for 5 minutes again. Changed points and
condenser and all is good...condenser went bad.

You don't mention the model. If it is a 300 or 350 with side curtains and you have them on, it could be vapor lock. Mine did that on a tractor ride, but it was really
hot out side. I would guess it outside temp wouldn't have to be that high if you were working it hard, like plowing.

I do still have the original carb, I'll look at getting a kit. Thanks

I did have the tin off. After working on it I did not replace and went right to work. Will put it on and try it again. Also our ambient temperatures have dropped significantly so that may help.
