1953 ford jubilee 3 point hitch not working

"That’s the orientation I have back pressure tube,". Not in 201_a.jpg, it isn't.
That’s correct it wasn’t, I replaced the back pressure valve and installed like the picture you posted. Have any idea what my problem is?

I feel certain that you know, but I'll ask anyway. Is the gasket good between the backpressure valve and lift cylinder assy and tight against each other? Have you probed the unloader via hole that I pointed out?

The gasket is good I didn’t notice any issues with it as far as the unloader hole I did push it down. Is there supposed to be a spring inside it? I looked at the diagram and looked like the control valve bushing has a spring inside and I didn’t see any when I removed to clean

Okay I’m good with the spring situation appreciate the pics, I understand how it’s supposed to work which it doesn’t, I’ve had the top lid off 3 times and just don’t know why it’s not working gotta be something simple I’ve replaced everything that can be replaced and still scratching my head

A wire thri the hole to be able to touch the unloader valve (bypass in those drawings) should tell you tht it is moving toward the hole during lift. It can't lift and develop pressure unless it moves in that direction. Can you feel it move?

Okay I’ll do that tomorrow so if it’s not doing what it’s supposed to do then what?
If it is not moving to the lift posn, toward hole, then the reasons I come up with , at the moment, are that control valve is not in position to connect ports 3, 5, 6 together as in LIFT drawing, or the unloader/bypass valve is stuck. Some of those used a cast iron sealing ring like on an engine piston and others a rubber o-ring. If rubber and somehow wrong size, it could be too tight to move.

Okay thanks I’ll let you know if it’s working correctly. I did replace the o ring and I purchased it from New Holland

JMOR I went out and held a rod inside the hole started tractor and yes I could feel the unloader valve push towards the hole so now what lol sry

That movement would cover (closed) port #7 to the backpressure valve and stopped flow out of BP valve output tube. Did you observe that stopped flow? Now, the full flow of the pump is available to push past the check valve and into the lift cylinder and result in lift, until the piston of lift cylinder is full up and hits the pin on control arm and pushes control valve back to Neutral position. If that does not happen, then pump pressure is relieved either buy overpresssure relief valve or the ram cylinder safety valve. Other wise the pump pressure would go sky high, damaging something somewhere.

I didn’t see any reduction of flow at all, but pressure definitely did flow from the system relief valve. Do you think there’s a blockage preventing the fluid to reach the piston

I did replace the safety valve on the lift cylinder and no fluid came out of it. I don’t know if I could remove it plug it off and see what happens? Or am I asking for trouble.
Something is definitely not working allowing fluid to the lift cylinder as you can tell hydraulics aren’t my specialty but this system isn’t that complicated, there’s very little on YouTube on jubilee or naa hydraulics

I did notice when I raised the lifting arm by hand, the flow of the fluid stopped escaping from the system relief valve bring the arms down and the fluid is blowing out

ok, I was thinking of the possibility of bushing installed incorrectly might block passages.
what about the small plate on top of cover......any possibility of a gasket or what ever blocking a passage there?
Has the lift ever worked for you? Say before overhaul?
