I guess I’m going to take the top lid off and go through it again I’m really stumped. The top plate has an auxiliary hookup and when the tractor was running I pushed in on the line connections and hydraulic fluid started flowing out.
The lift did work but stopped working completely, that’s why I overhauled it
This is what I have, I did before removed this and installed a different plate and yes no pressure was seen, so thinking it might be plugged I put the original one back on.View attachment 108935
like this? If yes, that "test port" should have pressure only during call for lift or if load is lifted and being held up by piston. If flow there, it means enough pressure to open check valve. Do I remember that you put a gauge here and saw no pressure?

I believe that’s the return from the piston pumpin your 1898.mov, what is the bubbling fwd of overpressure relief at approximately where pump return/suction is located???? Where is that flow coming from? Casting isn't broken toward front, just past relief valve , is it?
I’ll have to drain the fluid out and see if I can find anything tomorrow I’m getting frustratedThis turbulence is what is worrying me. Could the casting be broken or cracked in the raised part where relief valve is located and letting flow shoot forward to wall resulting in turbulence at the point circled?

The area you circled is definitely the supply return, that’s where the back pressure tube was originallyI’ll have to drain the fluid out and see if I can find anything tomorrow I’m getting frustrated
The "return", i.e. suction of pump should not be 'outputting' anything. The area you circled is definitely the supply return, that’s where the back pressure tube was originally
You have a supply and return line coming off the pump, doesn’t the return go back into the housing, there’s an opening where the return line goes into the housing to recirculate back out and back inThe "return", i.e. suction of pump should not be 'outputting' anything.
Impossible to get lines reversedSounds like you have the lines reversed.
You removed the gage and no fluid was present at the test port? You need to find out why.I was using the hose off the piston pump bleeding it of air, is that what you’re saying?
The plug is installed and same results.
I removed the gauge and started tractor and no fluid was present?
I removed side cover and as you cn see the movement, I stuck my hand inside and there was fluid coming from the system relief valve circled in pic is that normal or does it need replaced?
Thanks

We are working that, slowly but, working it.You removed the gage and no fluid was present at the test port? You need to find out why.
