1953 ford jubilee 3 point hitch not working

My son lives in Fort Worth Texas for about a year now. Plan on seeing him this summer.
I really don’t have a farm wish I did. I’ve only have 30 acres mostly woods. If I have any more issues I’ll be bugging you 😂

I know that you are tired of this, but one more question please. Can you compress the spring/plunger ok on the new valve, i.e., is it free to move?

You are welcome! Glad to share the knowledge. The "seemingly" stuck open over pressure relief valve might have been drillings between ball and seat....hope not. Tight, yes, 72 years will do that.

Bye the way , what part of world are you in?
Nice detective work!

The valve is very easy to compress, I have another older one just like the one I installed and it takes more force to compress

I’m still concerned about the psv valve, do you think maybe the new one that was installed the spring wasn’t strong enough and allowing the ball to block the flow? I know there’s considerable difference between the old and new one. Also I’m confused about what size the ball is, some say it’s 3/8” and others say 7/16” ?
Thanks Rick

A weak spring would not block oil flow into the cylinder. If somehow that extended tip of the valve were jammed or binding and unable to be pushed in by the ball then you have your original problem of no oil flow to the cylinder= no lift.

I agree.
