Looking for info on this old compressor that I purchased looking for info on what kind of motor it is I can’t seem to find anything on the Internet. Any info would be great. looking to try and restore to the factory color.

It is a Wisconsin engine, interesting it has battery ignition all the examples I have from that era are magneto.

Thank you guys that helped a lot going to try and get it working properly. It started up after a few headaches my goal is to get the air plumbing so it don’t leak

Yes it is an engine, NOT a motor
I would agree , most definitely an engine .
You must wonder though , why vehicles are called ' Motor Cars ' ? Why drivers are referred to as ' Motorists ' and why caravans are called ' Motor homes ' ?
Perhaps the language was future proofed so it could be used for electric vehicles 😃

Thanks! Whenever you get a chance to, no worries.

AMF I regret to report that I have no manual for AENLD. The older AE family ( with the cylinder cast separately from the block) have a gear drive starter and a belt driven generator. Not quite what you're looking for.

If you do a little googling, there are power equipment junkyards around that might be able to help you. I have a list around here somewhere when I was tracking down Jacobsen parts. I'll post it soon as I find it.

You might poke around a bit on this site down in Garden Tractors for more information.
