Well, one of the brushes quit on my 930CK starter and I need to find some replacements. I've seen the brushes for the 930 gas on Steiner's, but I can't seem to find the diesel starter brushes. Are they both the same, can I just get some general brushes from Napa, or do I need to find some specific brushes for the diesel starter?

Thanks a lot!

Go to Napa and match them up.

Ah alright, I was thinking that might be the best course of action, thanks so much! :D

Just a side note because your name is "case collector", do you know where the brake return springs go on that tractor? Can't figure it out...

Starter was working just fine, got the tractor going fine. My initial problem was the battery connection, starter just stopped working a few weeks back, I will take the number off the starter though, thanks!

How about posting the info on the starter "tag"?

One end of the spring goes on the shaft sticking out of the trans case. The other end goes in the pin that connects the linkage to the actuator arm....in other words the spring end acts as a cotter pin in the end of the pin.
Ohhh that makes great sense, thanks so much! I haven't been able to find that anywhere. Thanks for the great description too!
If you need any pictures from the Operator's Manual I'll send them to you.

Ohh yeah sorry about that, I'll edit it in later. I believe it's a 1113635 Delco, but I'm quite certain I found the brushes already on eBay
Good luck with matching brushes at NAPA, last time I tried they didn't stock any brushes anymore, at least my store.
