In 2018 I had the clutch and bearing replaced in my 165 MF. I have only used it to move 4 hay bales twice a week to feed cows. This evening when I moved in the last bale, the clutch would not release. I drop bail off and fool shifted it in low range then in high range just to get it home. When I came to a cross road I mashed clutch pedal and it worked half right. (Stopping and taking off) . When I got to my yard the clutch, then would not un-engage. This clutch is only 6 years old and hasn’t been use very much. What is going on?

Could be one or more of several things.

Pilot bearing failing, clutch disc sticking to flywheel or pressure plate, rust or wear on the transmission shaft binding the disc from sliding freely, broken finger(s) on the pressure plate, facing of the clutch disc breaking off and piling up between the flywheel and pressure plate, linkage slipping. Those are somethings.

First check the linkage. Then remove the inspection plate from the transmission under the clutch area and take a look at the pressure plate. You may see the problem. Most anything other than you being lucky and the external linkage is slipping, you are going to have to split it to fix it.
