400 versatile swather

I am having trouble with my 400, to keep it running. Seems to have something to do with the heat. Runs for so long, then just dies. Can start it back up immediately, and it will idle just fine. Throttle up, and it dies. Sometimes if I sit for a minute or so, then it works again. Sometimes for 20 minutes or so, sometimes 10 minutes. Runs perfectly when it runs. Thinking it has something to do with the fuel? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Fuel pump was put on new 3 yrs ago. I don't do a lot of swathing. Put on new coil, new cap and rotor, and switched to electronic ignition. Still the same problem. Thanks

That means nothing. U need to remove the line from the carb and do a flow check by cranking the engine, it should shoot the gas out 3 ft. Why not do the check then come back and say yep. U want to get technical check the fuel pump pressure also. They both go hand in hand. U asked I give answer but it’s not confirmed so we need to wait more yet. Un used fuel
Pumps cause the most trouble.
