Hey All, Heres a quick update on my 550 restoration .. I was told about a place called W&R Paint here in Greeneville over on Tusculum Blvd, thru a recomendation from a farmer that uses part of my property for his Cows. If anyone needs any color for any year, /pint/quart/gallon/ he even makes the rattle cans, for color correct restores, I HIGHLY recommend this guy. He nailed it.

Hey Scooter, rrlund, Its the Oliver Green Dupont color code # 5316. This comes from the Museum in South Bend, IND. There is also the Martin Senour Number 99L-3751 Green. Which is the same color. That was the original color the tractors where.

The code is what I have listed for Dupont as well, but something is not right, because that's definitely not Oliver meadow green.

Edit: For Dupont I also found a 6202.

Yes, I can agree to a degree with all of you. I have seen the Meadow green a shade or two lighter then the color he mixed for me on most or all the restorations I looked at. But, he crossed referenced the codes and thats what color popped out. It's close enough for me, I think it looks pretty cool and the clover white jumps off that color nicely. To be totally honest, between TS, and pretty much everyone else that claims to sell "Oliver Green" paint, not one of them comes even close to the right color. Every rattle can I bought anywhere over the last three months, not one of them matched at all, All of them looked like the JD green or a some type of version of it. I'll take the guy I found as a win win lol ..

If by TS you mean Tractor Supply, I agree, their Oliver Meadow Green is way too dark. I only use AGCO Oliver Meadow Green now.

Well, I hope it's your camera settings or lighting. I looked back at some of your unrestored repair photos and the original paint sure looks meadow green to me, not what now appears in this thread. If it makes you happy that's all that matters.

I will say though, meadow green under bright lighting does look very green, almost John Deereish green. However, in natural sunlight it always mellows out. I know there are people who aren't fans of whatever tractor supply sells, but I rattle canned a carbuertor a while back and it came out great. It was the only restored item on the tractor. Stood out like a sore thumb: https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/threads/super-55-carburetor-rebuild.1643901/
